Brett Harned brings more than 20 years of experience in digital project management and creative leadership—along with a passion for teaching and community-building—to his work as a consultant and coach at Same Team Partners.
He draws on his breadth of knowledge and experience to help his clients solve complex people, processes, and culture challenges. Brett was Vice President of Project Management at award-winning web design agency Happy Cog and a senior PM at global digital agency Razorfish. He’s worked on a variety of projects, ranging from capital campaigns to enterprise website redesigns and new iOS and Android products with a variety of clients, including Zappos, MTV, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Pfizer, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Harvard University, and many more.
In 2012, while at Happy Cog, Brett helped to form the Bureau of Digital and founded the Digital PM Summit, the first annual conference for digital project managers. He continues to work with the Bureau of Digital to curate and program events.
Brett began blogging about his adventures in project management at brettharned.com when he realized there was a void in the industry for people in the digital PM role. Since then, he has had the privilege to speak at various events internationally and has written for widely-read industry websites and publications. His first book Project Management for Humans was published by Rosenfeld Media in July 2017, and his podcast Sprints and Milestones was launched in April 2018.
Brett served as the director of education at TeamGantt from 2019-2021, where he continued to share his expertise as a subject matter expert by creating project management resources, video, podcasts, regular webinars, and more.
