New year, new project manager

New year, new project manager

The start of a new year always comes with pressure. New goals, new plans, new versions of ourselves we’re supposed to become overnight. But that’s not what this is about.

When we say "new" this year, we don’t mean a total reset or a reinvention. We mean renewed energy: a clearer focus and better support for the very human work that project managers already do every day.

That’s the direction we’re leaning into.

Over the past year, we’ve seen project managers carrying more than ever—more ambiguity, more emotional labor, more responsibility for holding teams together when systems, processes, and leadership don’t always keep up. The work didn’t suddenly change, but the weight of it became impossible to ignore.

So instead of chasing another framework or promising transformation by January, we’re starting this year with a simpler, more honest idea: What if “new” just meant better supported?

A renewed project manager isn’t someone with more certifications or a louder voice in the room. It’s someone who feels supported enough to lead with confidence, adapt to change, and focus on the people doing the work, not just the work itself.

That belief is shaping everything we’re doing this year, including the kickoff of the PM Squad on January 5.

The PM Squad is built for project managers who want to grow without burning out. It’s practical, human-centered, and designed to meet you where you are—through monthly playbooks, real guidance you can use right away, and a community that understands the messy, human side of this role.

No performative hustle. No pressure to become someone else. Just better support, clearer perspective, and tools that help you do the job well and keep your sanity intact.

If you’re stepping into this year looking for renewed energy, steadier footing, and a more human way to work, this is for you.

Here’s to a new year. And a renewed way of being a project manager.

T L ; D R - “New” doesn’t mean reinvented. It means renewed, better supported, and focused on the human side of project management. We’re starting the year in that direction—and kicking it off with the PM Squad on January 5.
